What is HelbreatH Ultra?
HelbreatH Ultra (HB Ultra) is a free Helbreath private server. Helbreath is a classic 2D medieval MMORPG where two nations, Aresden and Elvine, fight for control of the world through PvP, guild wars and large events like Crusade. HB Ultra keeps the old-school gameplay and adds new systems, sets and weapons on top.
Can you still play Helbreath in 2026?
Yes. The official servers closed years ago, but the game lives on through private servers. HelbreatH Ultra has its official opening on Friday, October 23, 2026 at 17:00 GMT, with a fresh start for everyone.
Is HelbreatH Ultra free? Is it pay-to-win?
It is free to play, with no subscription. It is not pay-to-win: every piece of gear that makes you stronger is earned in-game by hunting, crafting and fighting. The shop is cosmetic and convenience only.
How do I start playing?
Download the client from helbreathultra.org (Windows, about 415 MB), extract the ZIP and run the game. There is no web sign-up: you create your account directly inside the game client, then pick your nation. The built-in auto-updater keeps the client patched.
What are the server rates?
Max level 180, max stats 200, low-medium EXP, low rare drop rate, EK x1 (x2 during Crusade and events). The pace is designed so that progress feels earned, not instant.
What makes HB Ultra different from other Helbreath servers?
Rebirth (up to 20 times, +3 stat points each), majestic points with a real EXP curve after level 180, permanent item specialization from +1 to +5 (/spec), enchanting with shards and fragments, dungeon mining and a full crafting economy (legendary weapons like the Valcrum are crafted, not bought), new armor sets from level 80 to 180, legendary drops from bosses, and regular events such as Happy Hour, Crusade, TotalWar and Deathmatch.
What are the system requirements?
Windows 10 or 11, 4 GB RAM, DirectX 9 and 2 GB of free disk space. Helbreath is a light 2D game and runs on almost any PC or laptop.
Does it work on Mac or Linux?
The client is built for Windows. Mac and Linux are not officially supported.
Windows says "Windows protected your PC". Is the client safe?
Yes. That SmartScreen screen appears because the client is new and has not built reputation with Microsoft yet. The files are clean (you can check them on VirusTotal). Tip: right-click the ZIP, Properties, check "Unblock", then extract. If you already see the warning, click "More info" and "Run anyway".
What language is the game in?
The game and server messages are in English. The community speaks English and Spanish, and the website and player's guide are available in both languages.
Where can I get help or report a bug?
Join the official Discord. Staff and players answer questions there, and it is where bugs, suggestions and event announcements are handled.
